Jordan Haines is the Support Advisor for Sound Financial Planning, Inc. (SFP) where he assists associate and senior advisors in areas of financial planning, investment management, client servicing, and other related projects. He is responsible for inputting and analyzing client data, developing and presenting plans to advisors, and managing software solutions.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning, with a business minor, from Utah Valley University and is currently a Candidate for CFP® Certification. His past experience includes financial planning, marketing, and technology implementation. He enjoys taking data from the many aspects of an individual’s or family’s life including insurance policy statements, investments, loans, and debts, and other information and organizing it in a way that the client and advisor can make meaningful decisions that align with the client’s values, priorities, and goals.
Jordan began his career in finance because he understands that personal finance can be one of the most complicated aspects of a person’s life, but few truly understand it. He has experienced conflicting advice in the past and likes the idea of being a guide for others to help them navigate these confusing waters.
He is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). In the past he has served as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years in Rochester, New York. Jordan also assisted families in poverty organize their financial lives as a Circle Ally and Financial Coach.
Jordan is originally from Orem, UT. He currently lives in Mount Vernon, WA with his wife and their son. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, and rock climbing.
